In less than five hours, a crew of a dozen volunteers from Bachman's and St. Lawrence-Newman Church, together with Cabrini Partnership staff and residents, gave a beautiful new look to the yard surrounding the transitional house. Scrubby buckthorn bushes were pulled out. Juniper, mugo pine, lilacs and grasses were planted all along the sidewalk around the house and a generous amount of cedar mulch added to line the beds.
All the plants and materials, along with the design and necessary equipment, were generously contributed by Bachman's. With the new landscaping, transitional house residents can now enjoy a beautiful, restful sight when they gather on the front porch. Thank you Bachman's!
